
Moldovan Central Electoral Commission announces schedule, locations for submitting documents for registration of parliament candidates
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has officially set the location and period for submitting documents for the registration of candidates for the position of lawmaker in the parliament of Moldova, for the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, 2025.
According to the CEC decision, the period for submitting documents starts on July 20, 2025, and will end on August 19, 2025. On the first two days, July 20 and 21, documents will be received between 09:00 and 16:00 (with a break from 12:00 to 13:00), as follows:
Representatives of political parties and electoral blocs will submit the necessary documents to the CEC headquarters in Chisinau (Vasile Alecsandri Street, no. 119, office 201 -Anteroom).
Candidates entered on the lists of parties and electoral blocs will personally comer, with identity card, to the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre from Chisinau, in order to complete and sign the necessary forms.
During July 22 - August 19, 2025, documents can be submitted to the CEC headquarters, as of Monday till Friday, between 09:00-16:00 (break 12:00-13:00). An exception will be made on August 19, when the schedule will be extended until 17:00.
As for independent candidates, the period for submitting documents is identical - July 20 - August 19, 2025. Applications for the issuance of subscription lists, as well as the necessary documents for the registration of initiative groups will be received at the CEC headquarters, according to the same schedule.
Also today, the CEC established the draw commission, which will establish the order of entry of electoral competitors on the ballot paper. If two or more political formations submit documents on the same day, the draw will take place at 17:00, in order to determine their exact order of entry.
CEC urges all participants in the electoral process to observe the deadlines set for the registration of candidates.
