Moldovan PM condemns Russian attacks on Ukraine
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has condemned last night’s Russian attacks on Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine. The official stressed that the deliberate strikes on residential areas and civilian infrastructure “are acts of terror that cannot be justified.”
“I firmly condemn Russia’s massive attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, which have killed and injured civilians. The deliberate attacks on residential areas and civilian infrastructure are acts of terror that cannot be justified,” Alexandru Munteanu wrote in a message posted on the X platform.
The PM said that “Moldova firmly stands with Ukraine and with all those who defend human life, freedom and peace against aggression.”
“Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and the Ukrainian people,” Prime Minister Munteanu concluded.
During the night from May 23 to May 24, Russian forces launched a large-scale combined attack with missiles and drones on Kyiv and the surrounding region, hitting residential buildings and other infrastructure of the Ukrainian capital. At least one person was killed and another 16 were injured in the attack, officials reported.
