Parliament approved resignation of CEC member Lilian Enciu
Chisinau, July 14. /MOLDPRES/- Parliament approved today the resignation of member of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Lilian Enciu. The draft decision was supported by the vote of 56 MPs.
Lilian Enciu was appointed by the Parliament as a member of the CEC in October 2021. His candidacy was proposed by the Communists and Socialists Bloc faction.
Under the legislation, CEC has nine members – eight appointed by the parliament and one by the country's president.
The draft decision enters into force upon adoption.
