PHOTO // Strategic dialogue with Romania on regional security at Parliament

The security of the region and cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Romania was the subject of discussions in the Parliament during the visit of the members of the Committee for Defense, Public Order, and National Security from the Senate of Romania.

According to the parliament's press service, Romanian officials had meetings with speaker Igor Grosu and members of the Committee for Foreign Policy, led by Doina Gherman.

The senators also discussed with members of the Committee for National Security, Defense, and Public Order, led by Carp Lilian, and with the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Romania, led by Veronica Roșca.

“The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, as well as regional security,” according to the Legislature's statement.

 

A delegation from the Committee for Defense, Public Order, and National Security from the Senate of Romania visited the Republic of Moldova from November 11 to 13. The delegation was led by Senator Nicoleta Pauliuc, the president of the Committee. 

The Romanian senators also had meetings with President Maia Sandu, speaker Igor Grosu, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, and ministers Mihai Popșoi, Anatolie Nosatîi, Daniella Misail-Nichitin.
