
Seekers of asylum in Moldova might receive foreign partners' assistance through bank cards
Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/ - The asylum seekers in Moldova can benefit from financial assistance on behalf of foreign development partners or, at a meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE), the authorities considered possibility that the assistance should be transferred by banking card. The government’s secretary general, head of the Single Crisis Management Centre Dumitru Udrea made statements to this effect at a news conference today.
According to Udrea, the government ruled to involve warehouses of Moldcoop and Medfarm in the activity of managing the crisis of refugees from Ukraine. In the context, the official also said that four points of collecting assistance for refugees from Ukraine are functional at present.
Udrea asked the residents to avoid the fake news on social networks, which call for hatred against the refugees. ‘’This is not Moldova, which proved, just from the first hours of the war, empathy, hospitability and support for a great human tragedy. We should not let us being manipulated and we should remain on the same positions of kindness, care and help,’’ the head of the State Chancellery said.
According to Dumitru Udrea, at the moment, 78 centres of placement of refugees work in Moldova and the arrangement of other rooms on these purposes continues.
In another context, Udrea denied the information alleging that the radiation level would have increased in the country.
The government’s secretary general reminded the hotline of the Single Crisis Management Centre – 080080011, at which citizens can call to learn details about how they can help in the situation emerged.
