Airship with equipment against COVID lands in Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/ - An airship of the Romanian Air Forces, bringing humanitarian assistance for Moldova on behalf of the NATO, landed at the Chisinau airport today evening. The consignment consists of 100,000 masks worth 190,000 dollars.
At the airport, the batch of assistance was met by Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita, presidential adviser Ala Nemerenco and Health Ministry’s representatives.
„Moldova’s citizens must feel that we are united with them both on the European platform and on the NATO platform. I also thank the countries which contributed to the NATO’s fiduciary fund, due to which this assistance was bought, first of all, to Luxembourg and Norway. We are proud of the Romanian armed forces that they were able to make this transportation so quickly,’’ the Romanian diplomat said.
Presidential adviser Ala Nemerenco thanked NATO for the solidarity and help in the fight with the pandemic. ‘’This is the second important humanitarian assistance. This is a quite safe equipment, of good quality and comes in time to supply the needs of the medical system,’’ Nemerenco said.
This is second part of the humanitarian assistance provided to Moldova by NATO to combat the pandemic. The first part was delivered in last February.
