Bomb alert at Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau proves to be hoax; Airport operations resumed

An alert regarding the possible placement of a bomb at the Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau, reported today afternoon, was not confirmed following checks carried out by specialized teams.

According to the Border Police, security checks have been completed and airport operations have resumed normally. Passengers may continue their journeys.

During the intervention, passengers and airport staff were evacuated, while access to the terminal and check-in procedures were suspended. Flight schedules may also have been affected.

The Border Police, in cooperation with the authorities responsible for security, intervened at the scene after the alert had been reported and took the necessary measures to assess the situation.

Passengers are advised to check the real-time status of their flights on the online flight information board of the Eugen Doga International Airport – Chisinau and to follow official updates.
