Health Centre from north Moldova city to receive medical apparatus on behalf of Japan

Chisinau, 12 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Health Centre from Briceni will receive medical apparatus provided by Japan. Japanese Ambassador to Moldova Yamada Yoichiro, along with the head of the aforementioned centre, Dumitru Gincul, today signed a contract on grant worth 72,000 dollars, financed by the Tokyo government within the Kusanone Programme.   

Ambassador Yamada Yoichiro said the project would contribute to the strengthening of the imagistic capacities and the ones of investigating patients at the Briceni Health Centre. As many as 84,000 people will be beneficiaries of the project. Referring to the significant number of  refugees hosted in Briceni, the diplomat said that he ‘’applauds Moldova for having showed the entire world a wonderful example of hospitability provided to refugees.’’ ‘’You did this, despite the energy crisis and the inflation caused by the Russia’s war, which cruelly hit Moldova,’’ the Japanese diplomat noted.    

The Kusanone Japanese programme of grants for human security was launched in Moldova in 2008. So far, Japan has provided non-refundable financing forth 6.9 million dollars for 83 projects in the fields of education, health and public utilities.
