METEO: Autumn to start with fire warning in Moldova
Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) today informed about a Yellow Code of fire danger, valid all over Moldova for 30 August – 14 September.
According to meteorologists, the exceptional natural fire danger (class V) will be maintained in Moldova.
In the context of the warning, residents are urged to avoid the use of open fire nearby dwellings, household annexes and fodder deposits, on grounds covered with dry vegetation, especially when they are placed nearby woods, plantations or objects with high fire risk.
„Those who go to picnic must be attentive too. They should be prudent at the use of the open fire and not throw lighted cigarettes at random, in order not to trigger an eventual fire. Before leaving, they must make sure that the stakes are extinguished with water and covered with spoil,’’ according to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
Air temperatures of +30 Celsius degrees during the day and +20 degrees at night are expected on the days to come. Also on the next days, thunderstorm rains are expected in some regions on the days to come.
