Moldova's Foreign Affairs Ministry urges Moldovan citizens to leave Israel by land

Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs Moldovan citizens from the State of Israel that, in the context of the worsening of the security conditions in the region, it is recommended that they leave the country during the conflict.

According to MAE, Moldovan authorities are closely monitoring the developments on the ground and maintain constant contact with international partners and competent Israeli authorities, in order to identify the safest evacuation or transit solutions.

In support of citizens, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided information on open land border points. These are Allenby Bridge (to Jordan), operating from 08:00 to 14:00; Yitzhak Rabin Crossing (to Jordan), hours: 08:00 – 20:00; Taba (to Egypt), open 24/7, and Jordan River Crossing (to Jordan), hours: 09:00 – 16:00.

Also, Moldovan citizens who are set to transit to Egypt or Jordan must comply with the entry conditions into these states. For Egypt, a visa is required for entry, which can be got in advance or, in some cases, directly at the Taba border point, at the discretion of Egyptian authorities.

A visa is also mandatory for Jordan too. The document can be issued at the border (including Allenby Bridge or Jordan River Crossing), but Jordanian authorities may refuse entry without justification. It is also recommended that citizens have a cash amount available for the visa fee.

The Israeli border crossing fees can be viewed here: https://www.iaa.gov.il/media/cvziawn0/fee-rates-for-crossing-land-border-terminals-2025.pdf. At the same time, to check the real-time operation of border points, citizens can access the following link https://www.iaa.gov.il/en/.

If needed, citizens can receive consular assistance and contact Moldovan authorities through the Embassy of Moldova in the State of Israel, address: Leonardo Da Vinci 21, Tel Aviv, emergency phone (24/7): +972 52 778 9772. Requests can also be sent via email: tel-aviv@mfa.gov.md or website: https://israel.mfa.gov.md

Also, the Call Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is available at numbers 0 80 090 990 – free call from Moldova, +373 22 23 20 02 – for calls from abroad, and +373 22 188 000 – including from abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the recommendation that all Moldovan citizens from the State of Israel without essential obligations consider leaving as soon as possible through safe and available routes.

Citizens are encouraged to stay informed from official sources and strictly follow local authorities' instructions.
