Moldovan parliament speaker conveys message on Easter Holidays

The Resurrection of the Lord is a good opportunity to remind ourselves of what truly matters - family, faith, peace and community. May the Light of the Resurrection strengthen our faith and open our hearts to love, courage and wisdom. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has conveyed a message to this effect, thereby congratulating citizens on the occasion of the Easter Holidays.

‘’Spring brings us one of the most beautiful holidays of the year - Holy Easter! It is a good occasion when we gather together to remind ourselves of what truly matters - family, faith, peace, and community. We are a people who have inherited beautiful traditions - we dye eggs, bake Easter bread, and attend the Resurrection service. These are traditions we have a moral duty to preserve and lovingly pass on to our children and grandchildren,’’ declared Igor Grosu, in a video message.

The speaker extended wishes of health, spiritual peace and hope to all the citizens of Moldova - at home and from all corners of the world.

‘’Thinking about all citizens of Moldova - at home and from all corners of the world - we convey you wishes of health, spiritual peace and hope. Let us enjoy these holidays with our beloved, be kinder, more patient, more united. Let us aspire to build a worthy, prosperous and confident Moldova for the future, where every citizen matters. May the Light of the Resurrection strengthen our faith and open our hearts to love, courage and wisdom. Christ has Risen,’’ Igor Grosu also said.

Orthodox Christians, as well as Catholics today celebrate the Holy Easter, the most important holiday of Christianity.
