Moldovan police to be on duty on May 1; citizens urged to observe safety rules
The police have presented more recommendations for citizens’ safety, in the context of marking the International Workers' Day on May 1, when citizens choose to spend time outdoors.
The General Inspectorate of Police (IGP) warned citizens that the most serious incidents occur when people are in the state of ebriety.
"If you have consumed alcohol, do not drive. Before setting off: check the technical condition of the vehicle, fasten your seat belt, do not use your phone while driving and observe the speed limits and traffic signs," said the IGP.
Also, it is important to constantly supervise children. In crowded areas, be attentive to personal belongings and avoid conflicts. If you choose to spend time outdoors, maintain public order and peace.
The National Police will be on the ground for citizens’ safety. In case of emergencies, call 112.
The International Workers' Day is marked on 1 May. On this day, the public sector employees will have a day off.
