Municipal Vaccination Centre to be set up in Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) has adopted a decision on the setting up of the Municipal Vaccination Centre.
The municipal councilors today unanimously voted for the creation of the first Municipal Vaccination Centre in Chisinau. It is created for the voluntary vaccination of all teachers from the Moldovan capital and will have an immunization capacity for 500 people per day. In a subsequent stage, other persons will be vaccinated at this centre too.
At the CMC meeting, the deputy head of the Chisinau city hall’s social assistance and health general department, Boris Gilca, said that a batch of 13,000-14,000 vaccine doses was needed for the vaccination of teachers and this can be done in three weeks at the most. ‘’I asked the central authorities to provide this quantity of vaccine,’’ Gilca noted.
The official specified that the city hall’s priority was to immunize the teachers, as this gives possibility to resume the education process with the children’s physical presence in classrooms. According to Gilca, the gratuitousness and the access to the vaccine represent an absolute imperative.
The Municipal Vaccination Centre will be set up at the headquarters of a building which belongs to the Academy of Economic Studies and the Chisinau city hall will not pay the rent for its use.
