
Over 14,000 people called ambulance last week
Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/- On 26 July -1 August, 14,549 requests for emergency medical care were registered at the Dispatch Department of the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance.
According to the Center, the most frequent requests were respiratory emergencies - 2,523 requests, followed by cardiovascular - 2,111, neurological emergencies - 1960 and traumatic ones - 1,518 requests.
Urgent medical teams were called in the case of 68 road accidents. Subsequently, 69 victims were transported to the Hospital Emergency Reception Units.
During the reference period, 197 requests were registered due to infectious emergencies and 69 requests related to toxic emergencies. The teams of doctors on the ambulance provided urgent medical assistance to 23 people who were intoxicated with drugs and to 14 people who had alcohol intoxication.
Last week of July, 127 requests were registered due to emergencies generated by physical, chemical and environmental agents, of which seven sunburns and two syncopes.
