The Government has made significant investments in Căușeni district in recent years, targeting the modernization of medical and educational institutions, the construction of water supply and sewerage networks, and the renovation of roads. The results of the implemented projects were reviewed today by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, who is paying a visit to the district. The official emphasized that progress and modernization must continue.

The Prime Minister outlined the priorities for the coming period regarding the modernization of local infrastructure and stated that joint efforts are needed to implement projects for the benefit of all citizens.

“Today in Căușeni we are talking to mayors and representatives of local authorities about everything we have to do together: quality roads, running water and sewerage in every home, modern medical services, renovated schools and kindergartens. Achieving these objectives depends on all of us, on making sure our efforts move in the same direction,” said Alexandru Munteanu.

According to the Prime Minister, more than 54 million lei have been allocated in the healthcare sector alone for equipping the District Hospital with modern medical equipment, modernizing maternity wards and intensive care units for newborns and mothers.

At the same time, a primary Stroke Center has been created, the emergency service has been modernized and received six new ambulances, and pharmacies have been opened in six localities in the district under the Pharmacy in Your Village program.

Through the European Village programs, approximately 20 km of water supply networks, 19 km of sewerage networks and 7.5 km of street lighting have been built in the district’s localities. School institutions have been modernized and several important road sections have already been repaired.

Alexandru Munteanu underlined that “progress and modernization must continue, and for this we need financial resources, specialists and the capacity to manage and implement major projects.”

“This is exactly the goal of the local public administration reform: creating larger, stronger town halls capable of modernizing villages and towns,” he stressed.

Munteanu is paying a working visit today to Căușeni district. The agenda includes meetings with local authorities, mayors, residents and businesspeople from the district.
