President Maia Sandu today participated in the 'La izvorul Osoiencelor' Festival,  organized in the village of Horesti, northern Falesti district, the native village of the Osoianu sisters.

Maia Sandu said that the festival brought together families from all regions of the country - people who carry forward the heritage left by their ancestors.

‘’In Horesti, in the Falesti district, today I found that warm and lively Moldova that lives through tradition, through music and through the connection between people. The festival of dynasties 'La izvorul Osoiencelor' brings together families from all regions of the country - people who carry forward the heritage bequeathed by those before us,’’ said Maia Sandu.

The head of state also said that the Osoianu sisters had taken Moldova to the world through their voices and also provided an example of dedication, modesty and love for the nation.

‘’The Osoianu Sisters have taken Moldova to the world through their voices - but what they have left here is even more precious: an example of dedication, modesty, and love for the nation. Such celebrations remind us how important it is to stay united. Moldova needs peace, tranquility and people who know how to build together, with kindness and trust in one another,’’ said President Maia Sandu.

The family dynasty festival 'La Izvorul Osoiencelor' has reached its seventh edition. The event brings together people from all regions of the country, as well as from the Diaspora, in order to celebrate the cultural heritage of Moldova. The festival takes place at the Osoianu Sisters' House Museum, right in their childhood village, Horesti, in the Falesti district.
