
Prosecutors raided former head of Intelligence and Security Service
Chisinau, March 29 / MOLDPRES /- Anti-corruption prosecutors raided this morning former director of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) Vasile Botnari. The information was confirmed by spokesperson of the General Prosecutor's Office Mariana Cherpec.
According to PA data, the former head of the SIS is targeted in a criminal case initiated for illicit enrichment.
"We confirm the searches at the home of Vasile Botnari, former director of SIS. The searches are being carried out by the prosecutors from the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, within a criminal case based on the fact of illicit enrichment ", mentioned Cherpec.
Vasile Botnari was appointed director of SIS in May 2018 and was released in June 2019.
