Qatar donates computer technology to Moldova's Interior Ministry

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Chisinau today donated a consignment of computers and printers to the Interior Ministry (MAI).

The donation was made according to instructions by Sheikh, Prime Minister, Interior Minister of Qatar Khalid bin Khalifa al Thani. Attending the ceremony on the donation’s delivery were the MAI state secretary, Serghei Diaconu, and Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Moldova Hamad Bin Rashid al Athba.

The Qatari charge d’affaires gave a speech, in which he praised the spirit of friendship between Qatar and Moldova and reiterated the continuation of the cooperation on all segments concerning the citizens’ well-being.

For his part, Serghei Diaconu thanked the State of Qatar for the support provided to Moldova.

According to Diaconu, the new equipment will help enhance the level of services provided to citizens by the Interior Ministry.

In last June, about 3.5 tons of medical assistance was provided to Moldova by the State of Qatar, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
