New stadium inaugurated in village of Moldova's south-eastern district
Chisinau, 12 September /MOLDPRES/ - A new sports field was inaugurated in the Carnateni village, south-eastern Causeni district, on 11 September.
The stadium was constructed in the centre of the settlement; it is about an investment made with the help of the Reintegration Policies Bureau, in cooperation with the local public authorities. The stadium for mini-football, handball, volleyball and tennis was built following a request by the local council of young people, which analyzed the needs of the village residents and made representations to the authorities to create proper conditions for the carrying out of sports activities in open air.
„Thus, after almost nine years of expectation, the children from the Carnateni village can enjoy a modern sports stadium, accessible for everybody. We thank everybody who contributed to the implementation of this project, local council of young people, for active participation in the organization of the opening event, which comprised the school sports day and a football match, uniting young people from more settlements of the Causeni district,’’ the Carnateni mayoralty said.
