Moldovan Chamber of Commerce awards best performant enterprises

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) on 29 January organised the Moldovan Business Gala, within which prizes were awarded to the best performant businesses, winners of the Trademark of the Year contest, the Award for achievements in quality, laureates of the Gold Medal of the Made in Moldova National Exhibition and winners of the Promoting Food Safety competition, organised by the East European Foundation (EEF), with the support of the European Union, the Swedish and Danish governments.

According to the CCI press service, partners in organising the event were: the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Economics Ministry, and its specialised agencies – the Organisation for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM), National Institute of Standardisation and Metrology, the MOLDAC National Centre of Accreditation and Product Conformity Employers Association, EEF, National Office for Vine and Wine and USAID CEED II (United States Agency for International Development Competitiveness Enhancement and Enterprise Development II) Project.

The above-mentioned contests aim to stimulate competitiveness of domestic enterprises. The Trademark of the Year contest is at its twelfth issue and is organised by CCI and AGEPI, bringing together gathering about 1,000 participants during these issues. This year, 73 files were submitted to the Trademark of the Year contest, which competed for awards in 11 categories.

The Award for Achievements in Quality competition was re-launched by CCI and its partners - National Institute of Standardisation and Metrology, the MOLDAC National Centre of Accreditation and Product Conformity Employers Association - after a break of more than five years. The criteria for the selection of the winners in this competition imply the implementation of enterprise quality management systems and national and international standards in production. The first contest was attended by 22 companies that competed in four categories: industrial products, consumer products; food and agricultural products; services.

The Gold Medal of the Made in Moldova National Exhibition is awarded to enterprises which had the best performance at the current issue of the Made in Moldova exhibition.
