Moldovan wine companies participate in international exhibition in Czech Republic

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/- Moldova has been presented at the International Wine Show Prague exhibition for the first time ever, along with another 16 participating states. Moldovan producers presented tens of wines from European and local varieties to the Czech public.

According to the National Office of Wine and Vine, attending the international exhibition in Prague were 16 vine-growing and wine-making from Moldova, among which: Chateau Vartely”, Vinaria „Poiana”, „Calarasi Divin”, „Fautor”, „Suvorov-Vin”, „Vinaria din Vale”, „Mold-Nord”, Vinaria „Țiganca”, „Cricova”, „Cimișlia Wineries”, „Et Cetera”, „Dionis Club”, „Castel Mimi”, „Barza Alba”, „Vinuri de Comrat” and „Maurt”.

A marketing expert at the Office, Viorel Garaz, said that “the Czech Republic presents a strategic interest in Moldovan wines, as in 2015, the export of bottled wines to this country increased by 21 per cent, against the same period of 2014, and the Czech sales market has a significant growth potential."

Moldovan wines attracted an increased number of visitors, especially by a masterclass with tasting presented by Christy Canterbury. The American expert, holding a prestigious title of Master of Wine, who is also ambassador of national brand, Wine of Moldova, offered to participants information about Moldovan quality wines and elucidated tasting valences of the best beverages produced in Moldova.

To familiarize the Czech business environment with Moldovan wines, the organizers published a detailed and comprehensive article, dedicated to wines made in Moldova, in the "Eno Marketing for Professionals" magazine.

The International Wine Show Prague is annually held in Prague, and is dedicated to professionals and enterprises of the wine sector.
