Chisinau, 11 November /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega today signed an instruction to the Health Ministry and Chisinau city hall, thereby demanding "assessment of the capacities of the national and Chisinau municipality's medical institutions in terms of treatment of burns, in case of emergencies with a large number of patients," the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The instruction was issued in the context of the tragedy that occurred in the Colectiv night club from Bucharest on 30 October, in the wake of which tens of people died and were injured.
The acting prime minister also demanded that, if deficiencies were found out in terms of equipment and trained staff, well-reasoned proposals should be made to enhance the capacities to this end.
The Health Ministry is to inform the cabinet on the matter in three days.
