According to turnkey contracts signed by the State Road Management state enterprise, a number of 483 equipped vehicles are prepared to remove snow and diffuse skid material. The report of the ministry states that the vehicles are 85 per cent ready to start works. The State Road Management state enterprise will also sign direct contracts with economic agents if additional snow clearing equipment is needed.
A number of 177 GPS-endowed vehicles are ready to diffuse skid material to ensure an efficient monitoring of the equipment used for road maintenance works.
According to the Transports Ministry, almost 80 thousand tones of skid material will be needed during the winter season. So far, there are only 23 thousand tones available in stocks, just enough to cover the needed amount for November-December 2015.
