Moldova participates in meeting of Eastern Partnership states' high officials

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of Moldova, led by Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniel Cujba, participated in a meeting of Eastern Partnership states' high officials and the 14th meeting of the Platform 1 Democracy Good Governance and Stability, held in Brussels on 23-24 November, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service has reported.

The main subject on the agenda of the two meetings was the revision of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP), respectively the influence of politics on cooperation within the Eastern Partnership, especially on activities and priorities of the multilateral platform Democracy, Good Governance and Stability. These meetings take place in the context of publication of a joint position of the European Commission and High Representative on ENP's revision.

In this context, Deputy Minister Cujba welcomed a new approach towards ENP, especially focusing on stability, economic development and security dimension of the new policy. Also, Moldova hailed the flexible and differentiated approach of the future cooperation with the 16 states within ENP, as well as the need of member states' more active involvement.

The participants in the meeting of the Platform 1 exchanged opinions on the revision of the activity programme for 2014-2017, pointing out the necessity to correlate the activities within the multilateral dimension with the agenda of reforms at bilateral level. The Moldovan delegation highlighted the importance of the group of discussions on the Public Administration Reform, in the context of the national priorities, as well as the results within initiatives in the fields of borders' management, migration and asylum, police cooperation, etc.

At the same time, the participants discussed in detail connections between ENP's new priorities and objectives of the Platform's working programme and coherence between the two processes.
