Chisinau, July 22 /MOLDPRES/ – Works by renowned contemporary painters of Moldova and from abroad are exhibited at arts exhibition "Eternal colours" (Culori eterne), staged under the patronage of Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

Twenty two artists from 10 countries, including Moldova, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Bahrain, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Saudi Arabia, present their works to a wide public. Attending the exhibition were Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, Culture Minister Monica Babuc, director of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History Mihai Ursu, ambassadors, art critics, culture people.

The speaker thanked the authors of the paintings and event organizers for their efforts and expressed hope that the exhibition would enjoy public attention in Chisinau, and such events would become tradition.

"The subject of this exhibition shows the differences from country to country, from author to author, as well as what unites us all – art and culture. The exhibition features a huge variety of colours and the paintings' authors impress. Organisers' efforts are worth being appreciated, as they always manage both at European and at national level, to promote the art, being true ambassadors of our country," said the parliament speaker.

"Through this exhibition, we try to bring to your knowledge an outstanding idea – the culture unites. Culture shows the entire world that one can live beautifully through art and it is welcomed that this tradition to organize exhibitions of world-class artists takes roots in Moldova as well," said Culture Minister Monica Babuc.

"The purpose of this exhibition is to identify the spectrum of specific traits of a nation, expressed in art and we hope that the public in Chisinau will use this nice opportunity to admire the works by European fine artists," said the director of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History Mihai Ursu.

The art exhibition "Eternal colours" will be open from 21 July to 10 August at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History of Moldova. The event is organized by the Europe's Art Gallery that promotes artists in Europe; five per cent of paintings' sales is used for charity projects,  meant for children. Similar exhibitions have been earlier organised at the European Parliament and European Commission.
