PACE rapporteur on visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 26 September /MOLDPRES/- Rapporteur of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons Kristin Ørmen Johnsen pays a visit to Moldova on 26-28 September 2016, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The fact-collecting visit aims at considering development of people in Moldova, in the context of elaboration of a report by the committee on migration, refugees and displaced persons of PACE on the impact of European people’s dynamics on migration policies.

Kristin Ørmen Johnsen will have meetings with MPs of the commission on social protection, healthcare and family and of commission on national security, defence and public order, as well as with members of the Moldovan parliamentary delegation to the PACE.

According to the agenda of visit, Kristin Ørmen Johnsen will also meet Labour, Social Protection and Family Minister Stela Grigoras, Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan and Director of the Interior Ministry’s Migration and Asylum Department Olga Poalelungi. The agenda also includes talks with leadership of the National Statistics Bureau and Diaspora Relations Bureau, representatives of international organizations and civil society.
