Moldovan parliament votes draft law on accounting

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/- The accounting sector will be regulated by a new law. A draft to this effect was adopted by the parliament today.

The document aims at setting the legal framework, general requirements and mechanism of regulation of accounting and financial reporting in Moldova.

The new law sees the application of three sets of financial statements, depending on the category and information needs of the entities applying the National Accounting Standards.

The document also includes information about the publication of the individual financial statements, the management’s report and auditor’s report, due to be sent by e-mail or uploaded to the system of the public financial statements depositor. It will be also mandatory to publish these documents on the entity’s website.

The law also comes with clear requirements related to primary documents and accounting records, requirements for account holders and financial reporting.
