Moldovan government to organize Christmas Fair in premiere

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/- The government will organize in the premiere in Chisinau on 15 December- 14 January 2018 a Christmas Fair titled: “Acasă de Crăciun” (Home for Christmas). Prime Minister Pavel Filip today launched the invitation to the event, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

“We want Chisinau residents, residents of all the localities of Moldova, as well as our countrymen who are abroad and will return home during Christmas holidays, to feel the same as in the big European cities”, Filip said.

Thus, on the street 31 August 1989 there will be the largest skating rink in the country, a carousel, as well as wooden houses, where one can buy souvenirs, sweets and mulled wine flavored with cinnamon. At the same time, the premier said that the Christmas tree, with a height of more than 20 meters, was offered by the brothers across the Prut.

The authorities will make sure that about 4,000 children from the country will come to the Christmas Fair in Chisinau, including 1,500 children from all boarding houses and children’s centres with special needs and 1,000 children from the Transnistrian region. They will enjoy free of skating and carousel, and other surprises.

The Christmas Fair will be located in the area of Banulescu-Bodoni and Pushkin strees. It will include five specific areas: storytelling, ice, adventure, traditions and carols.
