Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - A meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), led by the delegation of the Transnistrian region, took place on 6 December, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The aspects which created major dissensions at the previous meetings were not included by the Transnistrian delegation into the draft agenda, with earlier postponed drafts considered.

Thus, the participants in the meeting took note of the weekly report of the Joint Military Command for the period 28 November 2018 – 4 December 2018. At the same time, representatives of the sides in the Joint Military Command were heard about the march of the dialogue on aspects dealing with the work of the peacekeeping posts.

Moldova’s delegation warned that the protocol of the emergency meeting from 10, 11 and 13 January 2012 had not been implemented so far.

Following the discussions, the sides ruled the movement of the military commanders and JCC members, representatives of military structures, to the post No 9 (right and left), to familiarize on the spot about the process of implementation of JCC’s decision.

Chisinau’s delegation brought again to attention its steps made to remove the “border guards” post with the adjacent infrastructure, placed by Tiraspol contrary to agreements on the left bank of Dniester between the settlements Slobozia and Cremenciug, as well as to make the inspection of this post by military observers. The Transnistrian side repeatedly avoided taking a decision on the problem and proposed to postpone the subject for a meeting due on 13 December.

Moldova’s delegation was consistent also in the part dealing with the approval of the mechanism of monitoring the Security Zone as to ensuring the free movement, with the proposals repeatedly rejected by the Transnistrian side.

At the meeting, the Commission positively appreciated the resumption (starting from 4 December 2018) of the activity of the working groups on the issue of posts and law-enforcement bodies from the Bender city, after a break of about one year and a half. It is worth mentioning that the participants in the concerned meetings of the aforementioned working groups reviewed the unsettled subjects and the sides set forth their proposals, due to be discussed at the subsequent meetings.
