More theatre, concert institutions of Moldova to be reorganized

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - More theatre and concert institutions will be reorganized through their transformation from state enterprises into public institutions. The decision will be published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) on 22 February.

Under the document, among the institutions regarded, there are the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Mihai Eminescu National Theatre, Luceafarul Republican Theatre, Eugene Ionesco National Theatre, A.P. Chekhov Russian Dramatic State Theatre, Licurici Republican Puppet Theatre, Alexei Mateevici Theatre, Vasile Alecsandri National State Theatre, Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, Organ Hall and the JOC National Academic Ensemble of Folk Dances.      

The decision will enter into force on the date of its publication. In a term of five days upon the publication date, the Education, Culture and Research Ministry will set up a commission due to ensure the reorganization of the concerned enterprises.   

The document stipulates that the salary of the staff of the theatres, circuses and concert organizations founded by the state, which work in regime of financial and economic self-management, will be calculated starting from December 2018, according to the provisions of the new decision.
