Moldovan PM says government to focus on people's needs, cares

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu introduced the ministers to the ministerial teams today. The introductions started at the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, the leadership of which was taken over by Anatol Usatii, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

„The atmosphere in the country, the level of citizens’ optimism depends on your success. You are in charge of infrastructure, energy sector, investments’ attraction, creation of jobs and many other things. We have great hopes that the ministry will manage to create progress in all sectors within its competence. Our task is that next year is the year of massive investments in infrastructure, of economy’s modernization,” Ion Chicu said.    

Afterwards, the prime minister introduced to the teams new Justice Minister Fadei Nagacevschi; Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi; new Agriculture , Regional Development and Environment Minister Ion Perju, as well as new Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu.    

Ion Chicu noted that he relied on the high level of professionalism and responsibility of the new ministers; he wished them success and urged them to efficiently manage the teams and processes. The single goal set by the PM to all ministers is the improvement of the Moldovan citizens’ living. The prime minister stressed that the term “technocrat” means a cabinet focused on people’s needs and cares. 

Also today, the PM introduced to the teams new Education, Culture and Research Minister Corneliu Popovici, as well as Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Alexandru Flenchea.
