Moldovan president lays flowers at bust to great poet Mihai Eminescu

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon, along with Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii, presidential advisers and government members, today laid flowers at the bust of the great poet Mihai Eminescu on the Alley of Classics from the Stefan cel Mare Public Garden, on the occasion of the poet’s 170th birthday anniversary, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state said that Mihai Eminescu had certainly been a genius, an influential personality who, by his works, reserved himself a leading place in the universal literature.

The Moldovan president noted that the talent and sensitivity, love and patriotism found in Mihai Eminescu’s work became up-to-date and represented us to a great extent. Igor Dodon also stressed that Eminescu’s work was extremely valuable and must be conveyed from generation to generation.
