Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of the state enterprise, State Administration of Roads (ASD), today monitored the process of building a bypass road of the Bahmut settlement, central Calarasi district, with a total length about six kilometers. ASD decision-makers found out that the construction was carried out according to the schedule
„The works of construction of this road segment are carried out according to schedule. We will regularly make monitoring visits, in order to make sure that the works advance in a very good pace,’’ the ASD acting director, Sergiu Bejan, said.
The project on construction of the road with a length of about 6 km, which is part of the R1 national road, Chisinau-Ungheni-Border with Romania, envisages two traffic lanes, small bridges, an underground pedestrian passage and three crossroads.
The contract has an overall value of over 5 million euros, with the money allocated as grant to Moldova’s government by the European Union.
The deadline for finishing the project was extended over the unfriendly weather conditions, which did not allow carrying out the works; the present term is July 2022.
