Bullying phenomenon in schools discussed at territorial information office of parliament from Comrat

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - The territorial information office of the parliament from Comrat (OTIP) has organized two information sessions titled, How can we prevent bullying in schools?. The events were held in the context of the International School Day of Non-Violence and Peace.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the information sessions brought together about 40 participants – pupils of the seventh form of the Gymnasium of the Svetlii commune, Comrat district and the pupils of the tenth form from the Grigore Vieru Theoretical Lyceum of the Chioselia-Rusa settlement from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.
The pupils discussed the reasons for the appearance of bullying, which are the types of the actions described as bullying, as well as about the consequences of this phenomenon on the children and teenagers. Also, the pupils were informed about the legislative initiatives put forward by Moldovan MPs, meant to combat the phenomenon of bullying in the education institutions from Moldova.
The International School Day of Non-Violence and Peace is a world, non-governmental, independent and voluntary initiative for non-violence and peace, carried out in the schools from all over the world.
