Chisinau, Nov. 9 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova joins the global 50-in-5 campaign, being one of 11 countries committed to implementing digital public infrastructure (DPI) in a safe, inclusive and interoperable way.

The campaign brings together several countries committed to accelerating DPI adoption by sharing knowledge, best practices and purpose-built technologies – including digital public goods – that can reduce costs and maximize the impact of initiatives.

The goal of the campaign is for 50 countries to implement at least one component of DPI within the next five years.

"Moldova has made significant progress in digital transformation and we are committed to supporting and learning from our leading peers as we work together to achieve our common goals," Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba said.

For the Republic of Moldova, the 50-in-5 campaign means strengthening digital cooperation. Learning from others, while the country will share its experience, will contribute to carrying out plans for the development of public digital infrastructure, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization said.
