Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossings to be connected to free WI-FI

Chisinau, March 1 / MOLDPRES /- The national telecommunications operator Moldtelecom has announced that it has connected to WI-FI free of charge several areas at the crossing points of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border.

"As a sign of support and solidarity, as a national operator, Moldtelecom connected to the high-speed internet through GPON technology the refugee camps, offering WI-FI zones, at the Palanca crossing points in Ștefan Vodă and Călărășeuca in Ocnița to facilitate the communication of the refugees and to be up to date with the latest news from Ukraine ", the company writes.

"Keeping in touch with loved ones is now more important than ever," the company said in a statement.
