Subsidies worth 90 million lei provided in Moldova's agriculture sector in last January

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Agency of Interventions and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) in last January disbursed 92 million lei (4.6 million euros) for the payment of subsidies in agriculture.    

The money will reach 377 applicants for subsidies, who submitted applications in 2022. Most money, 84.6 million lei, will be provided for post-investment subsidies. Another five million lei will reach applicants for subsidies in advance, which contributes to the improvement of the living and labour standards in the rural environment. At the same time, 1.9 million lei will be provided for the development of start-up projects.  

In 2022, AIPA received a record number of applications on the providing of financial support, with 16,146 files registered.

For 2023, under the state budget law, the size of the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment is 1.5
