
Government along with strategic partners organize Moldova Digital Summit
Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ - The government hosts Moldova Digital Summit, under the patronage of Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The event is organized by the Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry, along with the strategic partners. The goal of the summit is to highlight the cooperation in the creation of a common and borderless digital area, to encourage the sustainable economic growth, back an efficient digital state oriented to citizens, which is to bring positive changes in the entire society, given that Moldova aspires to join the European Union, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The participants in the summit will announce the new digital services, conceived for Moldova to maintain in the top of the countries with digital public services, for the benefit of the Moldovan citizens, as well as to have more transparent relations, an efficient governance and openness for business and investments.
The title of the event, We develop towards a borderless future, reconfirms Moldova’s aspirations to become a true hub in the Central and Eastern Europe, which is to provide access to important technological resources, expertise, know-how, as well as opportunities of cooperation and investments.
Guests from Romania, Estonia, Latvia, United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, USA will speak about digital solutions, due to provide a quick response to citizens’ needs.
The list is headed by an influencer, visionary, former editor-in-chief of the magazine, Wired, from the United Kingdom, author of books and manager at Voyagers.io David Rowan. The special guest will make a comprehensive presentation about the up-to-dateness of the Artificial Intelligence – a revolutionary technology which determines the resetting of the way the society, business and public institutions work.
The festive Gala of providing prizes to the winners of the Moldova Innovation Awards 2023 (MIA) will take place at the end of the first day of Moldova Digital Summit.
The summit will provide a platform for exchange of expertise, know-how for all those involved in the digital transformation, as well as for the presentation of success projects, with the identification of partnerships, in order to increase the exports and investments. The native companies interested in the extension and diversification of products and solutions of the Information Technologies and Communications (ITC) will be able to participate in B2B sessions with members of international companies on European markets.
The impact and challenges of the ITC sector in the country’s digital transformation will be the subject of the second day of the summit. The speakers, representatives of the associative business environment from the region, in their presentations, will approach aspects on the development of the digital culture, which encompasses digital skills adaptable for the future. Moreover, the guests will bring for discussion also the systemic changes implied by the digital transformation of societies, with examples about the change of the way we think and live.
The last day of the event will provide, within Tekwill Expo Day, captivating experiences on technologies enforced in the education process, as well as the best projects and programmes of engineering created by young people. Interested people will be able to take part in workshops, entertaining activities, as well as presentations of programmes.
Moldova Digital Summit represents the major event of the industry of Information Technologies and Communications (ITC) from Moldova. Moldova Digital Summit will take place at the headquarters of Tekwill (Studentilor Street 9/11) on 15-17 June.
