
Government approved amendments to state social insurance budget law for 2021
Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- The government approved today amendments to the Law on state social insurance budget (BASS) for 2021. The document provides for the increase of BASS revenues and expenditures up to 27.49 billion lei, by 1.089 billion lei or by 4.1% more than the planned annual amount, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The chapter Compulsory state social insurance contributions specifies up to 16.284 billion lei, which is an increase of 1.204 billion lei. In the chapter Social protection, the expenditures from the general resources of BASS were increased by 376 million lei and those financed from the State Budget account by 713 million lei.
The adjustment of revenues and expenditures is determined by the results of budget execution in the first semester, the dynamics of the quota and the size of benefits, updating the forecast of macroeconomic indicators, indexing social benefits and establishing the minimum pension of 2000 lei starting with October 1, 2021.
