Head of state meets Ambassador of Canada to Moldova at end of diplomat's mandate

Chisinau, 22 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a farewell meeting with Bucharest-based Ambassador of Canada to Moldova, Her Excellency Annick Goulet.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state appreciated the lasting partnership between Canada and Moldova and the assistance recently provided, in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine. The Moldovan president thanked for the programmes backed by Canada in Moldova, as well as for the contribution of the Canadian partners to the management of the crisis of refugees from Ukraine.

In the end, the Moldovan president thanked Ambassador Goulet for her service and involvement in the strengthening of the bilateral relations between the two states and wished her success in the long run.
