
Moldovan president chairs Supreme Security Council meeting
Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon today chaired a meeting of the Supreme Security Council to consider several issues of major importance for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.
The meeting was focused on the drought in the country and food security of the country. Dodon said that the decision was made to provide all possible support from the state to farmers affected by the drought, and the Agriculture Subsidy Fund should be supplemented with 300 million lei.
Another important issue was related to the dynamics of the epidemiological situation in the country. It was stated that the country's health system is still prepared to deal with the pandemic and all necessary measures are being taken to this end.
The third topic focused on the evolution of investigations into resonance cases related to the robbery of the banking system. "The General Prosecutor's Office has stepped up actions to recover the money both internally and externally", he said.
The sides approached the evolution of the situation on concession of Chisinau International Airport.
