Moldovan president says only sound business environment can develop economy, create jobs, provide competitive incomes
Chisinau, 29 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu continues discussions with Moldova’s business environment. Today, the head of state had an online meeting with representatives of AmCham (American Chamber of Commerce) in Moldova, which brings together 140 members and represents enterprises with origins in 20 countries, the presidential press service has reported.
The discussions regarded problems faced by entrepreneurs, solutions needed in the interaction between the business environment and the state institutions.
An acute problem on this period, entrepreneurs referred to, is the pandemic and its consequences. The business environment supports the speeding up of the vaccination process and is open to cooperate with the state’s institutions to ensure the return to normality.
A constant problem of the entrepreneurs, reported by business environment’s representatives, is triggered by the state of things in the justice sector and the abuses faced them.
„I will insist in continuation on the ceasing of entrepreneurs’ harassment – only a sound business environment, backed by the state, not blocked through excessive bureaucracy and corruption, can develop our economy, create jobs at home and provide competitive incomes,’’ President Maia Sandu said at the videoconference.
At the same time, the head of state spoke out for the promotion of the digitalization as way of turning more transparent and manage the processes of the public sector, as well as in the private one. According to the Moldovan president, another thing which must be done as soon as possible is the enhancement of the access to financing and identifying mechanisms of insuring the businesses from various sectors, especially on the period of the post-COVID-19 economic re-launch.
