Moldovan parliament speaker says Pope Francis was a symbol of peace, unity, unconditional love for fellow people

Pope Francis was a symbol of peace, unity, justice and unconditional love for fellow people. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has made statements to this effect, following the death of His Holiness Pope Francis today morning.

“On these days of deep significance for the Christian world, we learned with sadness about the passing away of His Holiness Pope Francis. Pope Francis was a symbol of peace, unity, justice and unconditional love for fellow people. Condolences to Catholic Christians worldwide,” Igor Grosu said.

Pope Francis, who died at the age of 88 today morning, was the Pope of the disadvantaged during his slightly over 12 years of pontificate, when he tried to change the mechanisms of a Church too centralized in the Roman Curia, to combat its abuses and to change its language, in order to speak about mercy and marginalized people.
