Moldovan PM opens account on Bluesky; official to provide updates in real time, to interact with audience from abroad

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has opened his account on the Bluesky social network. Through the platform, the official is set to provide updates in real time and to more accessibly interact with the international audience.    

The spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, has stressed that PM Dorin Recean was extending its presence in the online environment.  

„This initiative shows his commitment to directly communicate with people interested in Moldova and the up-to-date events from this country,’’ Daniel Voda also said.  

Bluesky is a decentralized social media platform founded in 2019 as an initiative of research, as part of the Twitter social media platform, presently X.     

The Bluesky Platform attracted millions of new visitors following the results of the presidential elections in the USA. More academicians, journalists, left-wing politicians and famous people said they would join the platform backed in the past by the former CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey. In the end of the last week, the platform added one million visitors in one day, with the overall number of visitors being of 19 million at present.
