41 employees of General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations became paramedics

Chisinau, August 16 /MOLDPRES/- 41 employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations /IGSU/ took the graduation exam of the SMURD paramedic course.

According to IGSU, 29 rescuers from the Balti Emergency Situations Directorate, the Regional Search and Rescue Directorate no. 2, the Soroca Emergency Situations Directorate, the Northern Dispatch, but also 12 officers from the Cahul Emergency Situations Directorate received qualification certificates to work as paramedics.

The rescuers held tests in providing qualified medical first aid, demonstrating skills in performing resuscitation maneuvers, immobilizing fractures, applying dressings, hemostasis maneuvers, first aid in case of severe obstructions, and extrication maneuvers.

Since the launch of the SMURD Project in the Republic of Moldova, IGSU paramedics have carried out over 13 thousand missions to provide qualified first aid to people in distress.
