
About 9,000 refugees benefited from assistance in medical institutions in Chisinau
Chisinau, August 15 /MOLDPRES/- About 9,000 refugees benefited from assistance in the medical and sanitary institutions of the capital. The announcement was made today by the head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance, Boris Gîlca at the operational meeting of the municipal services.
Out of the total number of patients, 5,104 are children, and 287 are pregnant.
"About 7,500 of the referrals were to primary healthcare, and 1,618 to hospital institutions. At the same time, doctors assisted 36 births of refugee women", said Boris Gîlca.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as of February 24, 522,491 Ukrainian citizens entered the Republic of Moldova, and 420,195 left the country. Currently, 76,397 Ukrainian citizens are on the territory of our country.
