Ambulance teams to be able to test patients for COVID-19
Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/- Pre-hospital emergency medical service was equipped today with quick tests and medical staff of the intervention teams were trained to be able to use them.
According to the Ministry of Health, the intensification of testing for COVID-19, including in the ambulance service will allow increased control of infection and will help reduce serious cases, deaths or complications caused by COVID-19, by faster confirmation of the diagnosis and initiation prompt treatment.
The leadership of the Ministry of Health reiterated the importance of wearing a protective mask correctly, compliance with respiratory and hand hygiene rules and vaccination against COVID-19.
"Given the emergence of new strains of the SARS CoV-2 virus, which are more aggressive and more contagious, we urge you to be responsible and cautious. At the same time, at the first symptoms of the disease, contact the family doctor without delay or request the 112 Service ”, a communiqué issued by the institution reads.
Yesterday, 850 cases of infection with the new coronavirus were registered in Moldova, a record figure for the last months.
