
Another 100,000 tests for detecting COVID-19 purchased with World Bank's support in Moldova
Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - Another 100,000 tests for detecting SARS-COV-2 have been purchased and delivered to the National Public Health Agency (ANSP), within the World Bank’s project, Emergency Response to COVID-19 in Moldova.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), besides tests, consumables, reagents and devices for ensuring the laboratory diagnosis were bought, including four vehicles for carrying the tests from the ANSP laboratories.
At the same time, Moldova’s health system was provided with 42 electrocardiographs, 700 perfusion pumps with syringe, 400 monitors for patients, 150 pulse oximeters, 400 oxygen concentrators, 194 beds for intensive therapy, 22 pulmonary ventilators, 180,000 protection suits and 100,000 coats for medical staff. The protection equipment and the medical devises procured were distributed to medical and sanitary laboratories and institutions from Moldova.
Also, MSMPS informs that, on the next period, decision-makers are to buy 250 pulmonary ventilators, 31 mobile units for radiography, eight ambulances reanimobiles, 700 perfusion pumps with syringe, 200 beds for intensive therapy, 50,000 protection suits.
