As many as 1,788 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,272 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,788 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 11 import ones. As many as 192,985 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 77 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 17, medical assistants –38 and auxiliary staff -22.
As many as 4,057 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 322 are in extremely serious condition (65 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
In the context, 11,130 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 17,524 are under supervision at home.
Another 822 people have been treated. As many as 169,623 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 22 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,071 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed a 42-year-old physician nephrologist from Chisinau. Ninety three medical employees have died because of the coronavirus infection till present.
