
Causeni chief architect investigated by CNA after allegedly receiving money for issuing permits
Chisinau, Aug 5 /MOLDPRES/- Chief architect of Causeni district is suspected of having demanded and received money from several citizens for issuing permits. The official is being criminally investigated by the National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA) in a case of passive bribery.
According to the CNA, in May - July 2024, the chief architect allegedly demanded and received from the residents of the district between 200 and 1,500 lei for the issuance of permissive acts for demolition, construction, design of real estate located within the territory.
This morning, CNA officers and prosecutors raided the suspect's office. Objects and documents relevant to the case were seized. The official is being investigated at large.
The criminal prosecution continues under the procedural direction of prosecutors from the Prosecutor's Office Chisinau.
